Massimo Cacciari

Italian philosopher, politician and university professor. He was a professor of aesthetics at the University of Venice, a city of which he has been, since 1993, mayor on two occasions. He has written numerous books of essays, including Oikos (1975), Pensiero Negativo (1977), Icone della Lege (1985), L'Angelo neccessario (1986) and Geo-filosofia dell'Europa (1994). He currently holds the chair of Philosophical Thought and Metaphysics at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan. His most recent books include Occidente sin utopías (2019), co-authored with Paolo Prodi, and Generación a Dios (2020).
