04. The limits of politics

Thursday, 24 October 2024

18:30 - 20:00 h

L'Androna Baleària Port

John Carlin is a journalist who looks at things from close quarters and talks to the people who make policy. A connoisseur of passions, he knows how they are as decisive as the logic of interests. Looking at politics not so much from the high-flown discourse as from the human condition is his way of approaching crises and conflicts. And at the moment there are many fronts on which he is a privileged observer. Such as, for example, the United States, from where he will speak to us, incorporating the decisive American election in the coming days into our debate on limits.

Dialogue between Josep Ramoneda, journalist and writer, content director of the Dénia Festival de les Humanitats and John Carlin, journalist and writer, author of The Human Factor (Invictus) (Seix Barral, 2010)
